Before arriving in Canada, you can apply and fund your new bank account from your home country through the Hello Canada app. You can even apply for a Canadian credit card through this app.
Steps to Open Your Account

1. Apply Online
• Complete the application form on the ICICI Bank Hello Canada app or website (icicibank.ca)
• Upload the supporting documents
• Your account number will be sent to your ICICI Bank Canada Secure Mailbox

2. Fund Your Account
• Deposit your funds as per the instructions
• Receive a Certificate of Balance as proof of funds in your ICICI Bank Canada Secure Mailbox

3. Activate Your Account
• Upon your arrival in Canada, complete an in-person identity verification
• Thats it! You are all set to conduct day-to-day banking
